However, some players are wondering if CD Projekt has planned multiplayer for the title and if so, will it be available or not when released. Find the answer below.

Is a multiplayer mode planned for Cyberpunk 2077?
We already knew, the developers had been working since 2019 on the development of the multiplayer mode but now CD Projekt has indeed confirmed that a multiplayer mode should be available for Cyberpunk 2077 but it will not be playable as soon as the game is released.
The information was given by Adam Kacinski, CEO of the studio during a meeting with investors. If we are to believe the words relayed by Seeking Alpha, here is what the CEO would have said:
It's a separate dedicated production, a big production. We think of it as a standalone product. Obviously it's not entirely standalone as it comes from the Cyberpunk universe and is very much related to the concept of Cyberpunk. But from our point of view, it's an independent production and an independent team of people are working on it. At the moment, we are not focusing too much on other future products.
However, no further information was given except that he was due in the first quarter of next year.
It can therefore be assumed that the 1st term of 2021 or later.
