1Les objets du build Witch Doctor FireBats
In this first part of our tutorial, we will first detail the different items that will need to be equipped on your character. This build will work quite easily until Torment XIII, then you will have to improve your Gems, obtain old objects and above all increase these objects via the Cube by placing unique Gems intended each time to increase the Intelligence of your Witch Doctor .
Bat Witch Doctor Items:

Spirit of Arachyr (Witch Doctor Set):
- Face of Arachyr (head)
- Amble of Arachyr (feet)
- Arachyr's Mantle (shoulders)
- Arachyr's Shell (torso)
- Arachyr Paws (legs)
- Arachyr's Claws (hands)
Description: first you will be asked to obtain the entire Spirit of Arachyr Set. This equipment will be crucial in this build since it will increase your animal skills by 2400%. In this case, this whole build will be based on your Bats which will be an animal type skill. Thus, your DPS will be improved by 2400%, just that!
The Endless Walk (Amulet and Rings Set):
- The compass rose (fingers)
- The Traveler's Promise (Neck)
Description: although it can be replaced, this set will allow you to increase your damage by 100% when using your Bats skill in enemy packs. In addition, when you use Ghost Walk and/or want to move away from the battlefield, your defense will be increased by 50%, perfect for not dying in extreme situations.
Ring "Unicity":
Description: the second legendary ring that you will have to wear will be "Unicity" which will also have to be worn by your Templar with the Relic allowing him to become invincible. By doing this you will simply divide your damage taken by 50%.
Bracers "Lakumba Ornament":
Description: this armband will be essential for this build to survive while inflicting melee damage. By placing yourself in the crowd, use your Harvest of Souls which, combined with the requested rune, will aim to increase your armor to 110%. Note that you will be able to exchange between "Lakumba's Ornament" and "Spider's Bounty Rings". Place the worst item in the Cube.
Belt "Bakuli Jungle Wraps":
Description: as explained previously, the whole build of this Witch Doctor will be based on his active skill "Bats". It will therefore be mandatory for you to obtain this belt, which has the effect of increasing up to 200% additional damage with these skills on enemies affected by Swarm of Locusts. As soon as you arrive in a monster pack, launch your Locust Swarm once so that it jumps from enemy to enemy while you use Bats to quickly kill all enemies around it.
Weapon "Sacred Harvester":
Description: essential item to survive from Torment XIII. The sacred harvester will allow you not to accumulate five souls but ten, which will have the effect of increasing your armor to 110%. You will be able to stay in contact with enemies without dying in the seconds that follow.
Mojo "Vile ruche":
Description: for the sake of ease as well as the possibility of equipping a second rune, it will be very interesting for you to own this Mojo. Thanks to this, your skill Swarm of locusts will have Pestilence and will therefore jump from enemy to enemy. Additionally, the damage of this skill will be increased. Finally, you can add the Swarm of Insects rune to Swarm of Locusts to reduce enemy damage by 25%!
2Skills to use in the build
This section will be the most important, you will indeed need to use the right skills at the right time in order to make the build viable. Know that well used you can reach 100+ faults in a group.
Active Skills:

Evil spell : you summon a shaman fetish that stays by your side for 12 seconds and turns groups of enemies into chickens. Transformed enemies cannot perform any offensive actions. | Bad luck : shapeshifted enemies take 15% more damage. | |
Soul Harvest: you draw on the life force of enemies within 18 yards and gain 3% intelligence for 30 seconds per enemy affected. This effect can stack 5 times. | Languor: Increases your armor by 10% per harvested enemy and reduces the movement speed of harvested enemies by 80% for 5 seconds. | |
Ghost Walk: you leave your carnal envelope and enter the spirit world for 2 seconds. In this world, you move without hindrance. | Guest of honor : Allows you to recover 20% of your maximum mana while Ghost Walk is active. | |
Locust Swarm: Unleash a swarm of Locusts that swarm an enemy, dealing 1040% weapon damage as Poison over 8 seconds. Locusts spread by jumping on other nearby enemies. | Bug cloud: damage dealt by affected enemies is reduced by 25%. |
Description: To put it simply, get close to a large pack of monsters and/or elites and then cast Swarm of Locusts once. Their damage will then be reduced and the Swarm of Locusts will spread between all the monsters. Then cast Soul Harvest (to get 10) and significantly increase your armor.
Finally, use Bats in the mass to kill everything that will find within your reach. Don't forget to use Phantom Walk when you have less health and/or mana as well as Hex on the Elites so that they can no longer attack you or even cast spells.
Passive Skills:

Description: thanks to Ritual of Confidence and Insidious Death you will considerably increase your DPS towards enemies. It will indeed be good to survive in the mass but the faster you kill the enemies, the faster you can reach the end of the rift and above all take less damage. Don't forget to cast Swarm of Locusts and Haunt on the Elites (or the most powerful monster) when you arrive in a monster pack.
Tragic End will act as a passive allowing you to quickly regain your mana as well as your life points. Know more that it will be increased according to your reason for collecting gold. Finally, the Spirit Channel will allow you to increase your survivability when you reach level 90+ rifts, especially if you want to play in Hardcore mode.
