If you wish to take control of a tank within the game, you will have to like most vehicles go through HQ. Headquarters is only accessible when you respawn on the map. To get a tank in a safe way, do the following actions:
- on the respawn menu, click on the HQ
- go to the vehicle icon that appears under the Headquarters icon
- select tank
