In Fire Emblem, you have the possibility of "marrying" some of your characters by obtaining ranks of support S. To obtain these supports you must associate them during the fights. Note that a character can only get one S rank with another member. When two characters get married you get a side quest during which it will be possible to recruit your offspring.
Also know that it is the parent who is important in getting the child. For example Takumi will be Kiragi's father and Azura will be Shigure's mother so if you marry Takumi and Azura you get the two side quests at the same time and the two children. Along the same lines, marrying Corrin to anyone will get you Kana and another child if the mother/father can have one of his own.
