Diona's Skills
Active Abilities
- Normal Attack (Hunting Archery) : Chains up to 5 consecutive shots.
- Charged Attack : Performs a more accurate aimed shot dealing more damage. When aiming, the arrow charges in Cryo element, inflicting massive Cryo damage when fully charged.
- Cryo Claws : Releases Delicate Cat's Claws which inflict Cryo damage, and generate a shield. The shield can absorb an amount of damage proportional to Diona's max HP and its duration depends on the number of enemies hit by the effect.
- Single Tap: Quickly execute two consecutive Cryo Claw attacks.
- Long press: Quickly retreat, and release 5 Cry Claws. Shield generated on long press gets 75% damage absorption bonus. The Shield Absorb effect is 250% more effective on Cryo damage, and applies the Cryo element to the current character for a short time when the shield is generated.
- Special vintage : Diona throws a frozen cocktail of her own making, which inflicts area cryo damage, and generates an alcohol vapor field.
- Alcohol Vapor Field: Inflicts continuous Cryo damage to enemies in the area; restores the HP of characters present in the area.
Passive Abilities
- Cat's Tail Secret Menu : Increases the movement speed of characters under the protection of the shield generated by Cryo Claws by 10%. Their stamina cost is also reduced by 10%.
- happy drunk : Enemies entering Special Cuvée's alcohol vapor field have their attack reduced by 10% for 15 seconds.
- Aperitif offered : 12% chance to get an extra dish when you cook a perfect healing dish.
Constellation
- House cocktail : Diona recovers 15 elemental energy points at the end of Special Vintage.
- on the rocks : Damage dealt by Cryo Claws increases by 15%, and the shield absorbs 15% more damage. Additionally, the skill grants a shield to other characters deployed nearby, the absorbing power of which is half that of Cryo Claws.
- A last one for the road : Special Cuvée skill level +3.
- mixology : The charge time of Diona's aimed shot is reduced by 60% when she is in the alcohol vapor field of Special Cuvée.
- A double with ice cubes : Cryo Claws skill level +3.
- Last tour : Characters in the Special Cuvée's alcohol field benefit from the following effects depending on their remaining HP:
- Bonus of 30% healing received if HP is at 50% or below.
- Elemental Mastery increased by 200 if HP is above 50%.
How to play Diona?
A Cryo fighter specializing in healing
Diona is a relatively fragile fighter, but she has the advantage of relying on the Cryo element, which works wonders in combination with Electro or Hydro. In the company of a Hydro-type character, she can easily freeze her enemies, while protecting herself with a very effective shield. Its area attack is just as useful since in addition to inflicting damage and freezing enemies affected by Hydro, it can heal characters in the area.
It's hard to prefer her to a Barbara or Qiqi as a pure and hard healer, but the elemental chains and her shield place Diona as an excellent support. Additionally, in a Team Freeze, Diona excels with her elemental reactions. Let's not sulk Diona!
Not useful outside of combat
Apart from combat, Diona has no notable particularity. Her passive skill in cooking is the same as Barbara, which is far from making her indispensable. We will then retain the effects generated by the shield, which make it possible to save endurance very slightly at times, which can be used to reach a distant point via a glide if necessary, but the interest is still very limited.
The more adventurous can also have fun walking on water by shooting icy arrows continuously, but that's all we can get out of it. She remains quite useful in exploration when it comes to activating Cryo steles with her bow.
Who to play Diona with?
Diona excels especially as Support. She can also be an ideal companion in a Gel team where she is particularly useful. Accompanied by Ganyu or Chongyun for example, is very useful. You can also use a Pyro fighter to do an elemental reaction, such as Klee or Diluc.

What weapon to take?
Diona is an archer, as is the recently introduced Tartaglia. But unlike the latter, she is a healer. More effective than a Barbara for example, since it allows you to generate shields and hit a little more than this one. So you need a bow that focuses on elemental damage or the bonuses that come with it.

What set of artifacts for Diona?
Honey Love : (2) Increases the healing done by the character by 15% (4) Increases the healing received by the whole team by 20% for 10 sec. after using an elemental skill or elemental rampage
Ancient Royal Ritual : (2) Increases DMG dealt by Elemental Furies by 20%. (4) Increases Attack of all characters on team by 20% for 12 sec. after an elemental outburst. This effect does not stack.
Depending on whether you play Diona more as a healer or DPS support, you can juggle these sets of artifacts. The best remains Honey Love, which will come to help him heal you but you can absolutely take 2 pieces from this set and take the 2 pieces bonus from the Set Ancient Royal Ritual. Of course, if no other character has the Ancient Royal Ritual 4-piece bonus, Diona can wear it. Optionally, if you don't have them, you can take the Exile set.
