- normal attack (Stone Rain): Chains up to 6 spear strikes
- Charged Attack : Charges forward, raining rock spears in its path
- Down attack : Dive from the air to hit the ground, dealing damage to enemies on the road and area damage on impact.
- The Lord of the Stone : The Geo power is present in the mountains, on the earth as well as in the depths and even in the rocky fissures. But few are able to master such power
- Simple support : Zhongli materializes a rocky ridge that inflicts Geo area damage. The backbone resonates with the other Geo constructions present. The rock cluster releases the echo of the original stone intermittently, inflicting Geo damage to nearby enemies. The rocky ridge is a Geo construction that blocks attacks and can be climbed. Only one backbone can exist at a time.
- Long press : Zhongli detonates the Geo element contained in the surroundings, resulting in the following effects:
- A jade shield capable of absorbing an amount of damage proportional to Zhongli's Max HP is generated. Absorb effect is 250% more effective on Geo damage.
- Deals AoE Geo damage
- Absorbs Geo from nearby targets affected by Geo (up to 2 targets max). This effect does no damage.
- meteor fall : Zhongli calls down a gigantic meteor from the sky, inflicting heavy Geo area damage on impact and petrifying enemies. Petrified enemies are immobilized
Passive Skills
- resonant waves : Each attack hitting the jade shield generates the following effects:
- Shield strengthened by 5%
- This effect can be stacked up to 5 times and lasts until the shield ends.
- Earth Domination : Meteor Fall inflicts bonus damage equal to 33% of Zhongli's max HP
- crystal of fate : When you forge a polearm, 15% of the ore used will be returned to you
Constellation
- Rock, the skeleton of the earth : 2 ridges of Dominus Lapidis can exist at the same time
- Pierre, the cradle of jade : Characters deployed nearby are protected by a jade shield during Meteorfall
- Jade, shining through the darkness : Dominus Lapidis skill level +3
- Topaz, unbreakable and fearless : Increases area of effect of meteor fall by 20%. Additionally extends petrification duration by 2 sec.

- However, the generosity of the ruler : 40% of the damage taken by the jade shield is converted into HP for the current character. The amount of HP restored at one time cannot exceed 8% of the character's max HP.
How to play Zhongli
At first sight, Zhongli doesn't appear to be the most powerful of the 5 star characters, the fault being a Geo element which is less used than others. However, he is a formidable tank thanks to his shield which can absorb a lot of damage, to the point of being able to afford to do without a healer in the group if Zhongli is well equipped.
It also works wonders when combined with another geo character like the Traveler and especially Ningguang, which allows you to make chains of resonances with the Dominus Lapidis and to amass elemental energy quickly enough to trigger its meteor. An attack that does very significant damage over a large area, and which has the added advantage of petrifying enemies for a few seconds.
It is therefore advisable to quickly level up this ability, and to use Zhongli as a support. However, he is still a good DPS with a nice defense, especially when equipped with the right weapon, but it is difficult to place him as the main DPS against other characters.
With whom to play Zhongli?
Well… With almost everyone! Well, anyway, if you're using it as Burst DPS or simple shield support. One of his perfect teammates could be Albedo, in order to take advantage of the Geo elemental resonance but also his elemental skill. A very good duo, if you have both 5 star characters. Ningguang is also a good alternative.
Apart from that, Zhongli is undeniably THE character that can be included in any team since he will almost never be on the field, except to put down his shield and use his ultimate and that's it. It's also okay to use it with Hu Tao (to keep her hit points low without fear of losing her) or Ganyu (so she doesn't get interrupted during the charge shot).

Which weapon for Zhongli?
Naturally, you'll have to aim for 5-star weapons for Zhongli first in order to get the most out of them. However, there are several different builds for the character to choose from depending on your team.
- Homa's Staff (5★): An excellent weapon since its arrival in the game, which is a very good spear for Zhongli
- prismatic driller (5★): An excellent spear for Zhongli since it strengthens his shield, which is his main asset.
- Winged Jade Spear (5★): Increases damage with each attack, stackable 7 times. When the maximum bonus attack is reached, increases skill damage. A spear that will be there above all for those who are oriented on a DPS build.
- Spade of the crescent moon (4★): Allows you to optimize Zhongli's DPS role without investing in drawing a 5-star weapon, all with very satisfactory results. The Stellar Polearm is also a good choice for 4-star spears.
Best Zhongli Set (Burst/Support)
Be careful, with the 1.5 update and the arrival of the new set, it is possible that those offered are no longer the most interesting for Zhongli.
- ancient rock (2): Since Zhongli's best role is that of support, we advise you to bet on his Geo abilities (especially his meteor) with this set if you play him in burst DPS. Only put 2 pieces and match it with another set.
- + Ancient Royal Ritual (2) : We advise you to combine the ancient rock with the ancient royal ritual in order to combine the Geo bonus and the increase in the damage of the elemental unleashing. If no one else on your team has the Complete Ancient Royal Ritual Set, you can have it brought entirely to Zhongli
- Or with Gladiator Curtain (2) : Such a useful set that will increase the character's attack, especially if you plan to use Zhongli as a DPS. An interesting second choice if you don't have an ancient royal ritual.
