Regularly, Genshin Impact offers new content. If we obviously retain the major additions with the arrival of updates, such as 1.1, 1.2 or the future 1.3, with new areas or characters, we are also entitled to events. Generally, they accompany a new version and allow you to discover a part of the scenario on a character and to recover many rewards over a limited period. We explain everything you need to know.

Events in Genshin Impact
These appear directly in the events menu, by clicking on your compass. Depending on the event, you will then have a dedicated menu that appears during the period of the event and all the details are given there. They are for a limited time and therefore one must play during the given dates to claim the rewards and other bonuses.
Types of events
In Genshin Impact, there are different types of events, minor events and major events. The first usually give little and occur without really being announced long before. The majors, on the other hand, occur more rarely and are presented as festivals.
If we list all the events of the game a little further down, be aware that:
- Minor events : it can be simple MCQs, leveling challenges or goods to collect
- Major events : often split into several acts that generally accompany important updates
All information is always given via the game's announcements with the tab dedicated to that.
Do the events return?
For the moment, we do not yet have enough hindsight to know if the events will return or not. However, small events seem to be periodic: we've already had the Wonderful Goods mini-event twice. The course was not quite the same but it confirms that the small events are coming back.
However, when it comes to major events, like Chalk and Dragon and Vanishing Stars, we can safely say that they won't be coming back. Since they bring a piece of history with new quests (like the discovery of the Dosdragon Mountains with Albedo), do not count on their return. It remains to be seen whether the rewards, such as the sword of the Festering Fang (and its elevation materials), will be accessible otherwise.
