The most frustrating element of Animal Crossing New Horizons is the lack of inventory space. Between the tools and the resources, we often have the impression of having to come back to resell our objects every 30 seconds. And even if it is possible to improve its inventory, there is fortunately a method to store its objects. So here's how to achieve it.
The secret to having space: having space
Once the first loan of 5 Nook Miles for your tent is paid off, you'll have the option to speak to Tom Nook again to ask him to build you a house instead. Do it and wait for it to be ready the next day. One of the advantages of a house over a tent is its storage function. When you are at home, you can access stored items by pressing right on the D-Pad.
Unfortunately, this only serves to remove objects. To empty your pockets, you must instead open your inventory with the X button, select the item you want to store and choose the "Store" option.
The basic house has 80 storage slots, but this number increases later as improvements are made:
- expansion: 120 pitches
- second piece: 240 slots
- third piece: 320 slots
- fourth piece: 400 slots
- first floor: 800 pitches
- basement: 1 pitches
There you have it, a little tip for how to store objects. Other advice awaits you in our complete Animal Crossing New Horizons walkthrough. Remember that the game is available on Nintendo Switch and that we devote a whole section to it on our Discord.
