It's been a few days now Genshin impact is available in version 2.0 and there are still discoveries to be made and secrets to unlock. If you wandered around a bit Inazuma, you may have picked up strange conchs on the beach or meets a named Takashi, who collect them. But what's the point of giving it to him?
Summary
Where to find Takashi and the Strange Conches?
This event is not a quest to complete and therefore there will be no mission name or objective to follow. This is done during your exploration. Specifically, Takashi and the Strange Conches are located north of Kannazuka, a little higher than the teleport point, near the beach, as you can see in this screenshot.
On the beach, you will notice that there are quite a few dots that sparkle, symbolizing objects to be picked up. Among the latter, there are artifacts, resources like wheat or carrots but also strange conches. When talking to Takashi, he will ask you to bring back three.
How to open Takashi chests?
As you noticed, there are three chests behind the NPC. However, when you approach them, Takashi will tell you not to open them. Indeed, to have the right to open them, you have to bring him 3 of these strange conches. Once this is done, you will have to give it to him and there, you will have the right to open only one chest out of the three, and this, on a daily basis.
To know where to find the strange conches, it's simple: browse the corner. We are not going to offer a location guide since their location varies but also because it is very easy to find them. The conches shine on the beach, whether on the sand or the small stops in the water. Look near the anemogranum or on the dyke, you will find them (very) easily.
What do Takashi's chests contain?
Once three strange conchs are picked up, give them to Takashi. It will allow you to open one of three regular chests. The loot seems random and not necessarily super interesting. Note that you can repeat the operation every day since Takashi asks for 3 conches daily. We do it almost every day since the deployment of Inazuma and we were able to collect:
- Cabbages
- Potatoes
- Apples
- twilight apples
- Wheat
- iron ores
- Tin ores
- The 4 Star Exorcism Arc
And all in small quantities. Not enough to break three legs of a duck. However, we also recovered a Bag of Seeds, a quest item that is used for a quest unlocked when you reach reputation level 3 in Inazuma. We haven't finished this one yet, we'll update the article when we do.
But that's not all : it also allows to recover the Arc of Exorcism, a new 4-star arc that appeared with Inazuma. We will tell you about it in a dedicated article but this one is to be recovered after having carried out the operation 7 times. It will therefore be necessary to make the strange conches for a total of 7 days to recover this bow.
