Xiao – Genshin Impact

• Normal Attack - Whirlwind Bash : Chains up to 6 spear strikes.
• Charged Attack : Consumes stamina to perform an upward attack.
• Diving attack : Dive from the air to hit the ground. Xiao does not take DMG when performing a top down attack.
• Lemniscatic wind cycle : Xiao dashes forward, inflicting Anemo damage to enemies in his path. Can be used in the air. Has 2 charges.
• scourge of evil : Increases Xiao's attack range and damage, converts physical damage to Anemo damage, and increases jump height. Continuously drains Xiao's HP. The effect ends if Xiao is defeated or leaves the battlefield.

Passive Skills

• Demon Tamer – Conqueror of Evil : Xiao deals 5% increased damage while Bane of Evil is active. A stack of 5% additional damage is then applied every 3 seconds while the skill lasts. Max stack: 25% additional damage.
• Aeon's Dissolution – Skies Fall : Lemniscatic Wind Cycle deals 15% more damage when cast within 7 seconds. This effect lasts 7 seconds and can be stacked up to 3 times. The delay is reset with each new accumulation.
• Transcendence - Gravity Controller : Reduces stamina consumption of team characters by 20% when climbing. Cannot be stacked with other passive skills with the same effects.

Constellation

• Aeon Dissolve – Destroyer of Worlds : Grants an additional charge for Lemniscatic Wind Cycle.
• Aeon Annihilation - Kaleidoscope Flower : Xiao's energy recharge increases by 25% when he is part of the team but not deployed.
• Demon Tamer – Deity of Wrath : Skill Level Lemniscatic Wind Cycle +3.
• Transcendence – Extinction of suffering : Xiao gains a 100% defense bonus when his HP is below 50%.
• Eon Evolution – Origin of Ignorance : Scourge of Evil skill level +3.
• Demon Tamer – Guardian Yaksha : While Bane of Evil is active, diving attacks hitting two or more enemies immediately grant an additional charge of Lemniscatic Wind Cycle, which can be activated within one second, even if not fully recharged.

How to play Xiao

Xiao is a main DPS, who will stay on the field for quite a long time, in particular because of his ultimate which allows him to chain attacks at high speed. You have to quickly go charge your ultimate which causes a lot of area damage, and don't hesitate to trigger your elemental attack even in the air to quickly accumulate energy.

Xiao is thus particularly devastating when facing groups of enemies, and conversely, is slightly less optimized for duels. You also have to be aware that Xiao is not really the Anemo character who will need the most dispersion (unlike a Kazuha), and will therefore seek brute force with his skills, which is why we can do without elementary reactions with him.

Who to play Xiao with?

Since Xiao tends to lose health quickly, a shield is never too much with him. This is why we often see teams with two Geo (Zhongli – Albedo) as well as an Anémo battery for Xiao, most often Sucrose and especially Jean, who will treat him. Bennett can also be effective.

• Winged Jade Spear (5 stars): His Passive and Critical Rate make him one of the best choices for Xiao.
• Homa's Staff (5 stars): Offers a significant HP boost for the character, who quickly loses his health, and is entitled to a high critical damage rate.
• Scion of Victory (4 stars): Same principle as for the Winged Jade Spear.
• Spear of Blackrock (4 stars) Increases critical damage as well as attack.
• Stellar Polearm (4 stars): The free-to-play option, which will be useful for those who do not have 5 star weapons or 4 stars better than this one.

• Gladiator's curtain (2 pieces) and/or nostalgic reminiscence (2 pieces): Simply to boost Xiao's attack, in good DPS hand that he is.
