La Genshin Impact update 2.0 brought a lot of things. If we mainly remember the Inazuma region and the new characters, there is also a novelty on the side of the weapon banner, which has often been criticized by players. To try to stem the problem a little, miHoYo has added a new feature, the Divine Path, which will ensure the desired weapon after a certain number of draws. How it works ?
Summary
A problematic weapon banner
If Genshin Impact is relatively generous on its currency, with primo-gems regularly granted, it does however have a big problem in terms of its weapon banner. Indeed, there are always two 5-star weapons presented, with an equivalent drop rate between the two. That is to say, it is quite possible to make hundreds of draws and obtain the same weapon four or five times, without ever obtaining the second offered.
A system often decried by players, who would have preferred to have the same as that of the character banner, which offers a guarantee after a certain number. To counter this, Genshin Impact welcomes the Path Divine in its 2.0 update, a new mechanism that will allow you to obtain the desired weapon after a certain number of draws.
How does the divine path work?
Concretely, this system allows you to have a guarantee after a certain number of draws. To do this, simply click on the new icon that has just appeared at the bottom left of the weapon banner. Once on this screen, you just have to choose the weapon you want between the two 5 star weapons.
When it's done, you can now start draws: the drop rate remains similar to before, and you can still have a chance to get the weapon you want at the first 5-star guarantee or get shafted (not receiving whatever you want) again. However, if you don't have the weapon in question, you will get a fate point.
This destiny point will be added to your quota: you must have 2 to use the mechanism and thus receive the much desired weapon. Be careful, you must first have 2 destiny points and then redo the draws: it is during a draw that the weapon falls (you will not automatically receive it once the 2 destiny points have been received, you must continue the wishes ). Note that if you choose another weapon, you will lose your fate points.
A system far from sufficient?
Despite the excellent initiative on the part of miHoYo, the system is still problematic. Indeed, you understood it by reading the operation, it is still necessary to carry out many draws to be sure to have the weapon. A player who does not have the luck of the draws will therefore have to perform 2 x 80 draws to collect the 2 destiny points, then again 80 draws to have his chosen weapon.
This amounts to a total of 38 primo-gemmes to obtain the weapon via the Divine Path, which is still far too much for free-to-play players. Certainly, we can only appreciate the idea on paper, but it is still too expensive for the majority of the community. Of course, we are here in a project where you have no chance on your side.
