An updated version of Grand Theft Auto V is confirmed to be coming to PlayStation 5 next year, but is one of the upgrades it offers over the current edition a VR mode? It's current speculation that the studio that published LA Noire: The VR Case Files says it's hiring for a "AAA open-world VR title for Rockstar Games."
The quote is from Video Game Deluxe's โโLinkedIn page, where it says: "Having completed the LANoire: VR Case Files, we are now gearing up for a new project, a AAA Open World Title in VR for Rockstar. 2020 marks our 7th year working exclusively for Rockstar in Sydney and we are thrilled to take on this groundbreaking project.โ The developer is recruiting for positions including senior programmers, designers and animators.
Given that Grand Theft Auto 6 is still supposedly a long way off and Red Dead Redemption 2 seems to be sticking to the PlayStation 4, the only realistic option we have here is GTA V. Are we about to get a PlayStation VR version of the entertainment giant? This would certainly warrant an updated version of the game and remember that the current PSVR model will work with PS5. However, we would not say no to a new and improved model to really take advantage of the potential this project could offer. Do you think GTA V is really getting a VR mode based on this post?
